Ballista produces high-end
broadcast documentaries. Our fresh
approach to film making enables us to create programmes that surprise
and engage.
In addition to our broadcast work, we deliver the film making skills of
television to public bodies, corporations, publishers, and museums -
and continually look for new models of funding and distribution for
this content.
As well as creating content, we advise clients on the best methods of
delivery to the viewer (from dedicated online video channels to sites
such as YouTube and Vimeo). Ballista's own YouTube channel,
which features a selection of content we have produced for our clients,
has been viewed close to 1 million times.
For our latest production 'Ultimate Castles' (6x1hr for Discovery and
History
Television Canada) we are producing an iPad app and book (published by
Harper
Collins) to accompany the series.
Ballista has created its own Mobi-Guides Explorer java app to deliver
an interactive multimedia experience to users' own mobile
devices. We are currently working on iPhone apps as an extension
to this platform.
